Changing of the Guard, New Fire Chief for Sandy City

Ryan McConaghie is the new fire chief of Sandy City, Utah. He was sworn in after being unanimously approved by the Sandy City Council and recommended by Mayor Monica Zoltanski.

McConaghie has worked for the Sandy City Fire Department for 23 years, serving in many roles, including firefighter, paramedic, engineer, captain, battalion chief, deputy chief, and interim fire chief. Mayor Zoltanski said, “I have complete confidence in Chief McConaghie, he has worked for our city for more than two decades in all capacities within the department”.
